Leora gave me a pregnancy massage which was BLISS!!

I was a bit unsure ahead of the massage as to how it would work, as I have only ever had massages done while laying on my front, which is obviously impossible whilst pregnant. Leora and I sat down together beforehand and she made me feel very comfortable about the process. She said we would do some of the massage while on each side, and some whilst lying on my back if that is not uncomfortable. Apparently some of the pregnant women she has massaged cannot lie on their backs at all but I am fine for short periods so we decided to give it a go.

Leora has a very calm and peaceful treatment room with relaxing music playing the background (but not that awful elevator music you hear at some places!) We started with me on my back and Leora gave me a head massage that relaxed me and let my brain de-stress. Then she moved on to my arms and hands. I was surprised that my arms in particular seemed more sensitive to touch than before being pregnant and I enjoyed this part a great deal. The baby obviously did too as he started moving around a lot and Leora said later that she could see the sheet moving around on top of my belly!

Leora was great and subtly made sure I was comfortable the whole time. She massaged my feet and calves, which was particularly nice as I've been getting some cramps in my calves recently.

Whilst still on my back, Leora did a very light massage across my bump and it was fantastic. I was a bit apprehensive of how I would feel about someone else's hands on my belly but I was so relaxed and it felt amazing.

I moved then onto my left side and Leora made sure I was happy with various cushions and pillows until I was completely comfortable. She concentrated on my back and worked out lots of kinks in my shoulders and lower back. I moved onto my right side so she could complete my entire back area.

Afterwards I felt very relaxed but strangely felt very bouncy and light too, a rare thing these days! Even though being pregnant meant that I moved around more than in a traditional massage, it felt so easy and fluid that it really didn't register as any effort at all.

I strongly recommend that all pregnant ladies try out a pregnancy massage, as I found it such an amazing experience.
